This one is for J04 people - and only those hanging about J04 on a Sunday (or remote accessing machine J04 on a Sunday. I don't know the exact details, I assume a network core upgrade. To ensure continued reliability and readiness for the planned SydNet6 migration in Q3/Q4 2026, we will be undertaking network switch hardware upgrades across the affected buildings. During these works, wired and wireless network services will be unavailable for approximately 20–30 minutes per level within each building as the upgrade progresses. *Date: Sunday 28th June,2026 Start Time: 08:00 End Time: 18:00* Service Impact: * Rolling outage schedule across multiple buildings. * Approximate outage duration of 20–30 minutes per level, per building. * Both wired and wireless network services will be affected during the upgrade window. * Wired and wireless (Wi-Fi) network services will be unavailable during this change period, including the following: internet, intranet, VOIP phones, wireless services, printers, building management system, fire system, closed-circuit television, and Central Operations Services (COS) managed services. [Everybody at ACFR] For J04 - Test and Tag this Thursday and Friday

Hi J04 occupants, Thursday and Friday is 'tag and test' time again. All appliances, cords, power boards and power adapters will be tested. Excepted are computers. They are NOT tested. In theory if a computer is plugged via a power board, they are supposed to skip testing that power board - but in the past they HAVE unplugged computers to test the power distribution board, so be aware. If you have ACFR laptop power adapters at home, please bring them in so that they can be tested. The tester will probably begin quite early before most of us arrive in the office. It will speed things up if you leave the cords and other items that need testing (most will have blue tag from last years testing) on the ends of your desks where the tester can easily see them. Please if something ends up with red or yellow 'danger tag' please do NOT just plug it back in, please check with me and we can determine why they failed it and sort out a safe alternative for you.
